Past work in Financial Management completed from 1995 - 2020 under Sierra West Consulting, our predecessor company.  Most of the work was large-scale utility projects undertaken under the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and local governments.

In 2020, Sierra West changed its name and evolved into the Maylan Group of Companies to fund and undertake its own international infrastructure projects.  

•    Institutional Strengthening of Ho Chi Minh City Water Supply Company - Accounting/MIS Component, Vietnam, Asian Development Bank

Assistance to the Ho Chi Minh City Water Supply Company (WSC) in the development of improved accounting and management information systems (MIS).  Specific responsibilities include: (i) review and assessment of the existing accounting/MIS systems; (ii) review existing plans for the implementation of improved computer systems within the WSC; and (iii) the preparation of an accounting/MIS requirements plan which will be used as the basis for the procurement of new accounting/MIS software.

•    Guyana Water Supply Technical Assistance and Rehabilitation Project – Computerization of Financial Management Systems, World Bank

Project Management for the development and implementation of computerized billing and financial management systems for the Guyana Water Authority.

•    Guyana Water Supply Technical Assistance and Rehabilitation Project – Financial Management Systems Design, World Bank

Development and implementation of revised accounting, billing and collections, and financial reporting systems for the Guyana Water Authority.

•    Guyana Water Supply Technical Assistance and Rehabilitation Project – Fixed Asset Evaluation, World Bank

Evaluation of the Guyana Water Authority’s fixed assets that included the development and installation of a computerized fixed assets register.

Financial Analysis for an evaluation of the St. Lucia Water and Sewerage Authority’s fixed assets.

•    Strathcona County Gas Distribution Study, Strathcona County, Alberta, Canada

Financial evaluation of a proposed purchase of a natural gas distribution system by Strathcona County from a private sector utility.  Estimating cost of purchase of system and gas prices to consumers under proposed County ownership structure.
