Jean-Pierre Wilhelm is a senior mining Director of Maylan Projects Development with over 24 years of experience from 1998 to 2022 in mining activities such as early scoping study, exploration, operations, and closure.  He is responsible for overseeing mining development and operations management and performing regulatory compliance for minerals procurement. In addition, he is also part of Maylan’s Agriculture Division, managing agriculture and livestock farms and food processing plants.

Before joining the Maylan Group, he served as mining CEO or Managing Director in large mining companies, receiving numerous awards for outstanding performance in productivity and overall operations management.  These roles include but are not limited to the following:

• Director of Operations and Country Manager for 3 gold mines in West and Central Africa (Ivory Coast, Mali, and DRC Congo).

• Site Manager at TrueGold Mining Canada for mining operations of a large gold mine in Burkina Faso.

• CEO and Project Director at Fenix Mining of Australia in Mauritania for mining operations of a large iron ore mine.

• CEO and Managing Director at ArcelorMittal in Algeria for mining operations of 2 iron ore mines.

• Executive Director at FENI Industries in Macedonia for large mining operations of a nickel smelter and mine, managing more than 1,000 contractors and workers on site, complying with local government in all mining requirements and regulations, including health and safety issues, and securing buyers and managing related logistics at the loading terminal port for the transport and sales of the produced iron minerals.

In addition, Mr. Wilhelm has been managing for many years a successful family livestock farm that raises cattle and horses for meat supply in Benin, Togo, Africa.

Mr. Wilhelm holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from American University Skopje, North Macedonia, a Graduate Degree in mining engineering from Ecole des Mines Nancy, France, a Master of Science in Finance and Banking from the University of Strasbourg, and a B.A. in Business from the University of Metz, France.

Mr. Wilhelm speaks multi-languages, including English, Italian, Spanish, and Macedonian Serbian.
